27th ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY
CAIRO UNIVERSITY

Welcome Message

Dear Colleagues,
Let me welcome you to CAIRO OBGYN 2026, our yearly scientific congress that is now running in its 27th consecutive year organized by our Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cairo University.
This year marks quite a few major progresses in the collaboration in research and development between our department at Cairo University and the other universities in Egypt working together on new research projects and collaboration that aims to improve the health care in our country. The Congress aims to improve women health and make motherhood and labor a safe experience. The congress this year invites you to a very interesting scientific program focusing on solutions for debates in our patients’ care and involves interactive sessions that will aim for the attendees to participate actively with ample time for discussion and sharing experiences.

We are grateful for our invited international faculty in addition to our local scientific teams that have been working hard to provide you with such a diversity of topics and to help share expert experiences in difficult medical topics in our specialty. The congress has worked over the last years on encouraging young researchers from all over the country to compete in our congress for a research prize that has been given annually to best researchers for their work that has been recently published.

We encourage our junior teams to participate in our congress allocating a session for undergraduate presentations on audit projects that have been supervised by our department.
I need to express my gratitude to our organizing team, our scientific committee and to all our sponsors for their support and commitment to our CAIRO OBGYN congress.
I hope you all have a fruitful congress, and I wish you all success.

President of the Congress
Professor Ismail Aboul Fotouh
